URBAN MEETS TRIBAL: OVERSIZED BLAZER + ANKARA SKATER SKIRT

What's good Fam? Hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was eventful, still trying to recover.

I'm really loving the tribal + African prints trend atm. For this outfit, I wore an oversized nude blazer on an Ankara skater skirt with a green silk inner camisole and wore my bag and shoes in nude tones. I’m sure most of you guys have observed that I've made quite a number of outfits from this particular print... What’s not to love right? Enjoy!

COMFORT ZONE...

Yesterday was a really long day, spent most of it @ the salon kitting myself up for the weekend. Was all worth it though.

I wanted something really comfortable so I opted for this lovely oversized denim shirt which I paired with black tights and styled with a pair of black wedges. I love this look because it's really simple and the wedges were extra comfortable. My highlight is the beaded chunky accessories; I love them because they gave the outfit a lil bit of drama.

DENIM AGGRESSION

I really hate it when network acts like it’s got some sort of personal beef for me "long hiss". Anyways! this is an outfit I should have posted on Thurs. I call it denim aggression because I'm all dressed in denim monochrome. I tucked a  grey denim shirt folded at the sleeves in a pair of grey washed slimfit denim trousers as well. I went bold on my foot by styling with red pumps.

Bold colours are a great contrast for intensifying dull colours.

TREND CLASH...

I call this post trend clash because it's an infusion of different trending pieces to create an outfit. I'm wearing a leather skirt on a sheer and velvet long sleeve top and styled with a pair of monochrome sandals with ankle straps.

Looking at my outfit you will think I'm wearing a basic top but it's actually a gown with a skirt worn over it. This outfit has many SS13 trending pieces from velvet, sheer, leather to monochrome and sandals!
